Title: Compressible signal recovery from random projection

Abstract:

Compressive sensing, a newly booming area in the last decade, aims to finding groups of measurements which use the minimum number of sensors to obtain the maximum accuracy. It has application in digital cameras, MRI, astronomy and linear decoding. I shall present two of the earliest papers written by T. Tao and E. Candes which formed the solid foundation of this area.
