Multiscale Geometric Wavelet Analysis
Abstract:We discuss the construction of a geometric counterpart to wavelets, which may be used to approximate and efficiently encode, rather than functions, intrinsically low-dimensional point clouds in high dimensions. We describe applications to data compression, analysis, and machine learning.
