Periodic Analysis for Detection, Tracking and Recognition of
Moving Humans in Video sequences
Abstract:
In this talk I will discuss our recent work on detection,
tracking and recognition of moving humans in video sequences acquired by stationary
and moving platforms. I will first discuss statistical hypothesis testing procedures
for detecting periodic motion in video signals. Representations of detected
moving humans using silhouettes, segmented regions and double-helical gait signatures
from X-t slices will then be presented. Applications to tracking and recognition
of humans as well as anomaly detection will be illustrated.
